Collins Farm

This land originally was the northeastern parcel of Carnton Plantation.  During the Battle of Franklin, Brigadier Generals Scott’s, Adams’, and Featherston’s Regiments of Major General William Loring’s Division advanced under artillery fire through this part of Carnton Plantation to face Osage Orange abatis and entrenched Federal forces.

Continuing on Lewisburg Ave, at the sign to Carnton & Confederate Cemetery, turn right onto Carnton Lane to the entrance of Carnton Plantation.
