Harvey McLemore House

National Register of Historic Places

432 11th Ave N

Built by an ex-slave in 1880, it remained in the family for over a century.  The historic house represents one of the few Freedmen's residences still standing in Franklin and shows how quickly African Americans established homes and communities after emancipation. (Open by appointment: 615-591-8500)
